Crazy in Utah

We're working crazy hard in Utah trying to get things ready.  Regretfully, working on our Polish has not been a part of it yet.  When we got to Poland this last time, I realized how much I needed to work on it more.  Magda was great to translate some key parent phrases like: "you're not allowed", "no more", and "not now".  We're picking out furniture, reorganizing all the closets, painting their room, and looking forward to kid showers.  We'll post more pictures later!

    How exciting! Those are great ages and have fun with all the prep work. And don't worry about the Polish, it'll come and they'll learn phrases too. Love is a universal language :) Can't wait to see the pics!

    I am so excited for you! I know you can't wait to get back to them and hope your next trip is very soon. I agree with Laura, the Polish will come and the English will likely come quickly for them as well. I can't wait to see more pictures.

    I learned what "you're not allowed" meant after Dominik kept saying something every time he pushed the buttons on the TV. I asked Magda if he was saying "push the buttons". NOPE, he was telling on himself and saying "Nie Wolno"! Make a list in English ahead of time for Magda to write the translations for you. Remember the praise phrases too! ;)

    You will be amazed how easy it will be to communicate once they are with you full time. I would say that the single most important word we learned (using Google translate while the girls were in there room crying) was listen. We still use it today in Polish.

    Julie, too funny that Dominik was telling on himself. LOL Great idea to write out a list for Magda to translate.
